Maghytec Trans And Dif Covers

I am considering getting a Mag-hytec trans pan and dif cover for my 08 Vmax 6.0. The truck has 35" tires on it and i also tow a 22ft toy trailer. I'm wondering if you guys think this would be a worthy upgrade for my truck to help prolong the drivetrain as long as possible. For anyone who has the trans pan can you comment if the trans temp went down while towing after instalation?

 

The trans pan give you 3.3qt more capacity and the dif cover gives you 5qt total capacity which is about 2 extra i believe.

I have had both of the covers on my truck going on 5 years. I have never seen the trans temp past 190, thats towing in 100 degree temp. I have the stock trans cooler that came with the tow package.

 

I like the dip stick for the rear diff. It has a built in magnet in it. They both have o-ring sealing. I had to drop my exhaust to get the trans pan on. I have been well pleased.

Thanks, mine has the factory trans cooler still as well but im pretty sure the one that comes with the Vmax is a well built cooler and it seems pretty large already. What kinda temps did you see before the instalation of the pan?

I own the 10 bolt diff cover, and i am super pleased. Endless features and easy install. Presumably lower temps though i cant measure them.

i have the diff cover. can't be happier with it. the o-ring, dip stick with magnet, and the drain plug (my stock diff did not have one) are all nice features that make it easier to change/check the fluid. i was going to get the trans pan but the stock exhaust on my reg. cab runs under the back of the pan so i don't believe the deeper pan would fit.
