Finally De-badged My Truck

I was off from work today & it was very very HOT!!!! So I went ahead debadged my truck today. only thing I left on there was the Silverado on the sides, took the GM logo off on the sides & only thing I left on the backside was the BIG bowtie, something like Brads truck on here.....That Eraser Wheel worked wonders!! I was afraid to use it at 1st bc it looked like it would scratch my paint, but it didnt!

I think black trucks look amazing without badges. Good work! I'm not a fan of the rear bowtie but if you are have at it bud. Really cleaned that sled up.

Yeah I know what you mean, Dad won't let me take it off, he said its looks retarded, I was like say what?! Might make it black looking, I'll probably take it off sometime in the future.

Yeah I'm worried I won't like mine without the Bowtie.

I am going to try out putting some black vinyl over it and see how it turns out.

Or perhaps the next time my friend with a body shop paints a black vehicle

I might talk him into taping and painting the rear bow tie.

On the front side of my truck, I got the black vinyl over it. I got 3 options, tell me what you would do?

1. Take it off.

2. Make it black.

or

3. Just leave it as it is.

Well I actually like the front part of my truck where its chrome, same as the rear bumpers. I just ordered some XD Spys black on Monday & I think that would make it look pretty slick & sweet! How the rims are black & some parts are chrome too. I probably get a different type of grille though

Well, I can guarantee you one thing, and that's that once the mod bug bites you there's no antidote. As soon as you get your new rims and grille, in a matter of time you'll want to do more like fully debadging it. Black rims should look good on a black truck, but chrome look damn good too!

I got my grill insert off Ebay. It was like 60 something bucks.
