Hi All

I have a 2010 silverado Ltz w/ bose and just installed a factory Nav unit UUL (Rpo code)the unit shows /maybe stuck but shows east. The map screen works but works off the truck as if it was always going east.Any Ideas I do have to install the VSS/voice wire but that I think won't mess up the map direction .All other functions do work ecept the back up,that comes through the mirror

Any help would be great

Thanks

The way I understand it you have to connect the VSS inorder for the mapping/tracking to work right. Where did you get the unit from?

The dealership that the truck came from, they only got the head unit and the gps ant. That is all I needed !!!! they said,I am there first go at the upgade for a nav unit .I guess they are wrong, because the radio set a code for the incomplete vss signal. So does that mean that the vss circuit is sending more than just speed data across the circiut.

Thanks

Dont know about that, but search is your friend here there are many post here on this topic from a lot of different folks that have done a tremendous amount of trial and error work to get their systems working correctly.

i did this upgrade with me Denali........ur NAV is worthless without the VSS harness. do urself a favor and plug it into the unit, then take it to the dealer and have THEM tap the VSS wire. it's a pain in the ass and if it's not perfect you'll have glitching!

thanks ,that is what I am going to do.What I found out is that the vvs wiring ties the nav unit to the Gm LAN system of communication
