On bike, ATV, or whatever you ride, what do you bring on your trail rides? Last year I thought I was prepared, got a flat on my Raptor and limped home. So this year I'd like to go prepared. I've also learned that zip ties come in handy. So for those of you that hit the trails lets hear your suggestions.

I ride in the SoCal desert and have been for many years. I bring:

Zip ties (enough to keep a tire on the rim if tube is blown)

Several 1 or 2 x 6 inch duct tape strips wrapped around the middle of a box end wrench

Stubby multi-screwdriver

Safety wire

Master link for chain

Spare nuts/bolts for critical external parts on the bike

Spark plug/mini plug wrench

Mini socket set for 8-13mm (most common sizes for my KTM)

Spare brake/clutch lever

Mini med kit

100 oz. Camel Back/energy bars

I did alot of riding in the mountains out of Kernville,Ca. in the '90s...mostly Dual-Sport rides with some trail maintenance work.I had my fenderbag full of pretty much the same stuff as Todd with a couple of additions..

small pair of vice grips

tire patch kit

two small tire irons

several CO2 cartridges

1'' X 30' nylon tow strap

I have a friend who kept a small set of jumper cables in his fenderbag for those who had the magic button and a dead battery

I've used all this stuff at one time or another..

co2 cartridges work the best for flats, compact and simple. that and a rope is all a need. my atvs come with tool kits which can do a lot
