First off just wanted to thanks to all the members on this forum! I was a lurker for about 2 weeks before I bought my first GMC Sierra! I was not looking to purchase a new truck but after reading all the positive reviews of the Vortec 6.2L I bit the bullet. :)

Just wanted to get opinions of my purchase, be honest! Love the truck so far!

All that matters is if your happy/comfortable with the deal you got.

i'd say its a fair price. With rebates and discounts, about $8000-10,000 of "sticker" seems to be what GM is doing. My 2010 Silverado Ext Cab LTZ 4x4 was $42,900 on the sticker and I got it down to $33,000 or so before tax 4 months ago.

I'd say that's a pretty good price. I got around $9000 off sticker out the door for my '10 Sierra SLE.

Good price man, but dump the warranty and get your money back. If you really feel the need to get an extended warranty fine, just do it when you factory one is about to run out there is no need to have 2 warranties at the same time. Oh and we need pictures:)

yeah i wouldn`t worry about that deal. i still don`t understand why the same truck in the US msrp`s for almost 8k less than canadian to begin with. exchange rate isn`t that different. You`ll be happy. you must have the 3.73 ratio aswell with that tow package?

drive the truck to 40mph, let of the gas then punch it, that will put a smile on any mans face. :P

this `10 truck is faster than my 98 ECSB and it has 400hp and 600ft/lbs torque!

Thanks again for the feedback. Overall I felt pretty good about the deal EXCEPT for the extended warranty. I will be getting my money back on Monday! Pics to come!

Sounds like a good price to me. I got the college graduate discount ("Supplier Price" = a couple hundred under invoice) plus all the incentives you had (except the GMAC financing), and was only about $8200 under MSRP. I got the Silverado LT though, so not quite as many options to haggle down.

Good luck with that. Hopefully your dealer is more on the level than mine. I came in 4 separate times to cancel my warranty asking each time if I could get something in writing that acknowledged they received my request. Each time they said don't worry about it, we'll call first thing tomorrow and your bank will have the refund in 2 weeks. I kept calling GMAC and they had no knowledge of my cancellation request. So eventually I had GMAC mail me the paperwork, and I had someone at the dealership who didn't know me (and thus didn't know to give me the run around) sign off on the mileage, so I could fax in the cancellation myself. Not a very comforting feeling when as soon as you sign on the dotted line, they no longer care about you.

Nice truck, post some pics!

As for all the bitching about warranties, all he needs is one major thing to go wrong and it pays for itself. 1500 isn't bad for peace of mind.

Seems like a good price. A good price is one that you are comfortable with. I too got the extended GM warranty because of resale. It was peace of mind for 5 years and if I sell it before then it adds resale value. One thing now is with GM's powertrain warranty to 100 000 miles the extended warranty is kinda redundant. My brother in law burned up the rear end bearings in his 07 and GM picked up the $1100 bill.
