Ipod Hookup In 07 Grand Prix

My wife really wants to use her iPod in her car and I just cant seem to come up with a solution that I'd be happy with installing. I figured some of you might be more educated than I on this matter.

I want to install an interface in her car without changing the factory setup. I DO NOT want to use anything that involves an FM transmitter. I prefer something that I can hardwire in. I never have good luck with FM transmitters, im always picking up crap on the radio when trying to use one.

Anyway, the car is a 2007 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. It has the 6 disc monsoon system in it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Based on a quick search, it doesn't appear there are any compatible adapters for an '04+ GP that would allow you to plug an iPod into the factory stereo and control it with the radio's controls.

There are auxiliary audio inputs you can add that would let you at least transmit audio via the iPod's headphone jack into the radio, but you'd still have to use the iPod itself to select playlists/songs/etc.

For example:

Hope that gives you at least something to go on. Otherwise I'd say maybe check this site for more information:

Nevermind my original post...after looking at the items on Crutchfield, they were FM transmitters
