Headlight Switch Question?

I was wondering if anyone knew if a headlight switch out of a 06 and up Monte Carlo SS would work in my truck? Heres a pic of the one in my moms car.

 

 

 

 

What I want to do is put this headlight switch in my truck and wire the foglights to it so when I press the middle button in on the switch the fog lights work that way. Then I want to use the old fog light switch for the cargo lamp that way I don't have to turn the stupid dome light on in the truck to use my cargo light. Anyone have any clue if this can be done? Thanks.

The problem that I see, assuming I understand what you want, is going to be combining the switches. You said you want to press the middle (large) button for the fogs from the monte, and use the old fog switch from the silvy. Don't think that's gonna work. There is a write up on adding a seperate switch to control the cargo light. Here it is:

I did mine and it works great. There's also a piece in there about adding led lights to them to make them brighter.
