Driving back to Tennessee from Florida yesterday, say a new Silverado (i think), crew cab. It had a sticker on the back of the side of the bed, same place the stickers are placed for the Z71 package.. this one said Z60 Performance package,... any idea what is part of this package? The exhaust looked stock, everything else as well.. any ideas?

That denotes the Z60 suspension package, but I can tell you that "Z60" decal is NOT factory,Its an aftermarket decal someone added.

That is true, but.. in 2005 or 2006 a local Chevy dealer was putting the Z85 stickers on the Silverados and advertising them as a Z85 package. I believe they also added some chrome steps and maybe a couple of other accessories as well and marked up the price considerably. So some people will swear they came stock even though thay were not factory.. That would have been Vic Jenkins Chevrolet.

Yep,Our "sister store" does that also....makes me mad when we dealer trade a truck from them because of those "non-factory" decals!

Cowboys and southern/country Gomers seem to think stickers are cool.

Wonder if I could find a "Z05" sticker for my truck. Or maybe a "Z01".

Rednecks like that z71 sticker, cause they can then go through bubba's mud hole without getting stuck. Gotta have dem' z71 stickers round these parts or you might not make it through the ruff stuff.  :jester: (said in country accent with southern draw)

Well, I have a Z60, and here is my understanding of it. This is info from my dealer, so it may or may not be correct. My window sticker shows the "Z85 handling/trailering suspension" as standard equipment and the regional value package as an option ($2975). The regional package includes 5.3L engine, 6 spd automatic, locking rear diff, 20" chrome wheels, and HD trailering pkg. There was no additional charge for the "Z60" package. The stickers were on my truck when I bought it. My understanding was the regional package was the Z60 package. But I have seen trucks with and without the stickers, so I would agree it is likely a dealer thing. It wasn't a deciding factor for me at all, I had a list of minimum options I wanted and this truck had it all.

I haven't decided if the stickers are staying or going yet.....
