I would say the 4L65E. 4L80Es only came in the 2500s and HDs.

Well, back to my search for a 2500. My 1999 454 Suburban is about shot. I don't tow much over 6500 lbs but I do tow in the mountains a bit. Should I find an 8100 or does the 6.0 compare fairly well to my old 454? I've been told the 05 and 06 had cooling system updates and stuff making them preferable. True?
