Steering Wheel Mounted Audio Controls

Ive been looking to upgrading my factory radio to one of the OEM nav/dvd units. I just found out that i can't use the lockpick gen 6 without having the steering wheel (right side) controls. Does anyone know if its possible to add this feature to my truck, where i can get the part and what the instal may consist of.

I just found on gmpartsdirect.com the radio control switch for the steering wheel for $24.25. Can this be added to my existing steering wheel?

You would need to switch to a steering wheel with the controls in them
