TBI rebuild cost?

Hi --

 

I suspect my TBI unit in a 1993 Suburban with 454 has been ruined by some bad fuel mixture. Some plastic seals, or whatever, may have decomposed. What should I expect to pay for a rebuilt stock TBI unit and who would you recommend I go to?

Is it the injectors or the whole unit that is damaged? I just got a price for injectors yesterday, $117/pc.

I do not know what is wrong with it (yet).

 

I am going to take it off this weekend. It smells of gas under the hood and I found a puddle or black oil/gas residue on the manifold, after it had been sitting for a day. The TBI is mounted at approx 120 degree angle, bolted onto the back of a whipple blower. The blower also shows signs of something leaking. The puddle could not be explained by pure gas, pure oil from the blower or me accidentally spilling oil during engine oil change. I am wondering if it isn't the TBI flooding. I have also, recently, experienced excessive fuel consumption; O2 sensor has been replaced so that is not it.
