dvd/nav/usb in a non bose truck and it seems since I installed a gen 6 lockpick the little tracker on the screen doesnt seem to be able to catch up and when it does get close it has to shoot up in a jerky motion to do it. Its like runing two blocks behind me driving me nuts. Everything else works fine, anybody run into this and what can I do to fix it ? I think I would have noticed this before.

It's easy, don't install that crap, it sounds good at first, but later on there will be crashes and an unending headache over why you did it in the first place. It's just like jailbreaking an ipod or putting a movie watcher on a mio GPS running windows 5 compact edition.

Sounds like a loose connection. I'd re-seat all of the connections again to make sure there tight. Plus make sure when you put everything back in place you don't crimp or the cables apart.

I went back and rechecked all the connections, all seated and locked in no wires pushed out. Im going to take it out and take for a drive and see what it does

Took it out and the GPS is now back on track(at least as good as it was before). I was looking at the connections on the brown lockpick harness to brown VSS truck harness and it seems the pin for the Vss signal is not there. The brown lockpick connector that goes to the radio has a green wire on that pin but it is connected directly to the lockpick itself and not the Vss. Anybody have any experience with this or ideas. I dont see how the radio gets the VSS signal wired this way.

I put a factory Nav in my 04 Avalanche, which didn't have the VSS wire. It acted like that. I drove it for a few days and then it started working fine again. It started on a long straight road. I was told the unit learns. Something you can try anyways.
