hi all, i am trying to find the old thread about changing the red GMC, front and back to black, I can not find it nor find anything on e-bay. any1 have an idea or somewhere i can order on line. I do not want to paint it, looking for vinyl or something to stick over it.

well i can't finger paint, and how abouut it chipping off? i mean i am open to all suggestions, and can prove I'm a real man

Um' how bout' spray paint, that's the way most people on here do it. If you use the right type of paint (not duplicolor, please) then it won't chip. Krylon fusion or rustoleum are the best spray paints, IMO.

hey thx for the help, i will have it painted, not a chance i'm going to do it, i will do most things mechanical, but that detail stuff, i'm all thunbs.

A lot of people sell the over lay decals on ebay. I just ordered red for the front and back of my black silverado. They are 3M vinyl, easier than painting and cheaper than replacing the letters.

Well, if it's for show, paint looks best up close. But, an overlay is easier to revert back to stock if you decide to. Nothing is easier than painting, though. It's so simple.
