Driver's Side A/c Not Working Properly In 2009 Sierrra

I have a 2009 GMC Sierra and the A/C is acting strange. It has the dual zone auto climate controls. I noticed a week ago that the air didn't seem as cool as it normally was. I keep it set at 72 degrees with the passenger control setting off. The air normally comes out colder than 72 until the cab of the truck cools down and then the system automatically adjusts the temperature on it's own.

I noticed the air was staying fairly warm so I turned on the passenger side at the same temperature. It was noticably colder. The driver's side temperature can still be adjusted up but it just won't get any better than moderately cool.

Now, when I start the truck up even though the A/C is set to 72 degrees, sometimes warm air comes out even after it has had time to get cold. If I adjust the temperature up to 90 degrees and then back to 60 degrees it will normally cool off a little bit.

The passenger side works fine though. What could be wrong with it? How long would it take to fix? If there is a flap in there that might not be closing and opening all the way? Would it be accessable without taking the dash all the way apart?

Edit: I just went to lunch in it and had the A/C on. I had both sides independantly on and set to 60 degrees. I had the manually close off the vents on the driver's side because the air was making my eyes dry. The driver's side wasn't really hot but not cold either. The passenger side was ice cold.

Yep, your blend door is chingado. It will probably reset next restart or search for the reset procedure on here....mine started working again and it hasn't come back...and I WISH it was the driver's side.:P:fume:

Well, mine isn't really blowing hot but just room temperature. It is almost like the flap still has 75% of the original range of motion. It just can't get the really cold air out.

Give this a shot. Worth a try.

Remove the HVACIECAS fuse for a minimum of 10 seconds.

Re-install the HVACIECAS fuse.

Start the vehicle.

Wait 40 seconds for the HVAC control module to re-calibrate.

Verify that no DICs have set as current DICs.

Well, i had it fixed today. I dropped it off at 9:00 and it was ready at 11:00 this morning. They replaced the driver's side actuator.
