I want to wire an escort 9500ix direct to the fuse box using an add a circuit. Which spot can I put the new add a circuit thing? It plugs into one of the mini fuse plugs and has a fuse in it and it goes to a lil red wire. I want something that turns on and off with key. I hope that makes sense Thanks

How to Hard Wire Your Radar Detector

 

In all of my other vehicles, I always used the radio fuse, as it is a key-on power source (the radio only comes on when the key is turned on). I never used any of the fuse taps (Fuse Taps (4-Pack) at Radio Shack) when I did it...I stripped some of the insulation off of the wire and wrapped it around one leg of the fuse and put the fuse back in. I then found a good ground close by and stripped some insulation of of the other wire and attached it to the ground point (I usually just wrapped it around the bolt as I never had any terminals for wire that small...but I never had any trouble with any of the connections in the 12 or so years I had a radar detector)

Is there another fuse panel inside the cab besides the one to the left of steering column? Everything in there is hot all the time or for lock and unlock
