Why a boost gauge?

Its a vacuum/boost gauge. When i had all the engine done i had an Sts turbo kit put on but i recently took it off cuz a guy i knew wanted it n bought it since im tryin to sell my truck. Everything is built to handle the abusive of a turbo.

beauty truck man...couple questions...if you were stuffin boost into it what type of cam is actually in it? spec'd for boost or what? high stall torque? you use EFI Live software?

Thanks. I just contacted Comp Cams n told em what i was looking for n how much boost i was plannin on runnin n they figured out what exactly i needed. The biggest thing i wanted more was torque to get it goin before the turbo took off n that's exactly what they'd set me up for. Its a mild cam so not a lot of lope but some. It sounds amazing! Really deep tone. Thats what i get the most questions bout cuz of how it sounds. The 3" transitioned into 4" exhaust is also a reason it sounds so deep. Then while the motor was appart i had different lifter and valve springs put in to take the abuse. Also had to have a Ls7 timing gear put in to adapt to the cam n sensor. I had it custom tuned by Black Bear Performance n yes he uses Efi live.

so its a boost cam? cuz my i once been in that situation...got a cam for a 6 litre that was set up for boost and it didnt make any more power than stock. j/w thats all

I suppose it would be called a boost cam. This one made quite a bit of difference cause I had it in for 2 days w/ out the turbo n it burned up my tranny. I knew I was gonna have it built anyways but thought itd last me a month or so w/ it n the turbo but def not. The truck w/ turbo was puttin out right round 500hp n it would do a 1/4 mile in 12-13 which is pretty dam good consider 35's on it n bein crew cab 4wd. It def had plenty of power n the most sweet whistle mixed w/ deep tone sound. Interested in buyin it?
