Security Issues

I have a 2001 gmc sierra 1500. I recently was trying to fix a short in my signal light lever, so i unplugged wireing in the colum, and apparently the security in the truck kicked in. It will start but shut off right away. the dash light security light stays on. I tried the 10 min thing, that doesnt work. Is there anyway to get passed it without taking it in. If I have to take it in does anyone know how long it takes, because im getting the run around from the dealer and other places.

Last time I ran into this issue it was a fuse. Can't remember what the label says, but it's in the under-hood fuse block.

been there done that, you blew the fuse in underhood compartment labeled TBC, it`s a 20amp fuse for the body control module, replace fuse and she`ll start right up.

omg man, thanks so much, that security thing was driving me nuts, i must have missed that fuse when i checked them a while ago.
