So my 90 days of free sirus expired and they wanted over 120 to renew. All this on the internet and I mention internet as that there is no negotiations on the net. Tried to get a real voice and tell them I also have sirus on a portable box capable in any vehicle with a ciggareete lighter. Reason I tell this is because I figured two subscriptions would get a better price. Well, no one played ball with Me so it ran out on the truck. (90 days chevy....ford/mopar lots longer)

 

Anyone with a suggestion...heard there is a deal for 79 dollars but sirus hasn't heard of it yet. Thanks to all in advance.

Just cancel and they'll send you all kind of offers. I did back in 08 and used one of their promo's (come back or something) and all I pay is $20 + some dumb artist tax which is about $23 for 5 months of basic service.

 

Every 5 months I call and tell them I want cancel unless I can get the same deal. They've given it to me for the past 10 months. But it's basic, no stern/nfl/internet radio.

Yes I just want the tunes....HS is crap....but they want 140+ for renewal and now I'll just use My portable and cross that bridge in December...It's more convenient to have it also in the truck but I can live with the portable

so they stopped the service and have yet to call...it's no biggie as I'll use My portable and check into the cost of installing a docking system on this radio. Most likely cheaper to do this.

I had reception problems with the factory XM set up in my Sierra. I just renewed with Sirius. Not sure why but no reception problems with them. I Put a dock in each of my vehicles and share one plug and play unit. Also have the home kit and a boom box set up. Nice to be able to use the subscription in so many ways. When I reactivated the subscription they gave me one year at $77. No matter who you go with always push for a deal and threaten to cancel at the end of your subscription. As others have stated, that's when the deals really come out.

well...did that...nothing has happened for a week yet....I'll see about a docking system for the truck for as,like You, I have the portable boom box and dock so I can take it anywhere...I also spliced in a plug on the portable after the regulator and can plug it into any ciggareete lighter

I can also confirm the cancel and get a better deal to stay. My wife's G8 , has the 23 / 5 month script . On the 3rd cancel and stay for 23.
