Wirring Issue/after Market Recon Xtreme Light Bar

:) Hey Guys,

Hope anyone out there can help me with an issue with my RECON Xtreme Tailgate Light Bar!

First things first. I installed/hard wired a RECON Xtreme Tailgate Light Bar http://www.gorecon.com/products.php?p_cat=75 to my 2010 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab. The light bar comes already equiped with a trailer 4-pin connector and 2 wires (1. RED = 12 VOLT SUPPLY, 2. WHITE = REVERSE LIGHT ACCESS). Now you can just hook into a 4-pin and splice the other 2 wires as instructed and TA DAAAA! As many of you know, most of us don't like crap hanging down and looking sloppy, plus as you may also know Chevy gives you the 7-pin round connector (there are adapters). So needless to say, I hardwired everything into my already existing trailer wirring harness that was wonderfully labeled what wire was what, so it made installation easy. Chevy was pleasant enough to include a 12 volt power supply wire through the trailer wirring harness. The only thing you had to do was untape it from the cluster under the hood by the fuse box and connect it to the aux. post in front of the fuse box and add the correct fuse to the empty slot to allow power to get to the post. That said and done, the light bar worked perfectly. I recieved compliments about it and inquiries as to where I purchased this light bar.

Here's the catch, the installation was in January of this year (2010) and worked fine until about a month or 2 ago. I went to go to work one early morning and noticed that my truck's reverse lights were on as well as the light bar's reverse lights were on. All I could think of was I hope this truck starts. Couldn't figure it out so I took the truck to the dealership to see if they could figure it out. They didn't know what was go'n on, that is until they noticed my accessory light and seen that the 12 volt wires was being utilized. They removed the wire from the aux. post and WALA, everything went back to normal. But it gets weird. Mind you, I have not reconnected this wire as of yet and everytime I untilize my remote start/keyless entry, the light bar comes on. In other words, when I unlock or lock or start my truck, the light bar in the back will come on with the other lights (ie. brake lights, reverse lights, head lights...the usual that come on when you click your remote). Go figure! I am lost. Could this be a wirring issue? Is there anything in particular that I need to look at or I am missing? I have looked since then and everything was snug as a bug, but who knows. I could use an electrical genius right now, LOL! Any advice or help is greatly appreciated and respected!

Thank you in advance!
