Replacing Windshield

I have a 2008 Silverado C-1500 4door crewcab, I need to have the windshield replaced and Safelite is asking what type of front windshield do I have below are my options,

When my truck was a month old, I had a big ass rock hit my windshield when driving on the highway. It cracked the windshield and I had to get it replaced. When I went to the glass shop, they were going to replace it with a windshield that had the the tinted strip across the top. I didn't think mine had that so I walked out to the truck and looked at it. Sure enough, it did not. Mine is all clear with the "dimple/textured dots" only surrounding the mirror.

They also want to know if you have rain sense feature. Most LTs do not. Also there are grades of glass. Tell them you do not want the bottom grade. I think G is the better grade???? Should not cost any more. My independent installer recommended the better grade at same cost...I went OEM as my truck was still very new...cost me about $200 more...check around, I did not care for the safelite here.

look for the etched markings in one of the corners. If they can't go by that, find someone that knows what they are doing.

I like the 3rd Visor one...... My trucks both had Blue bands at the top to start with. My 1999 has had a new windshield at least once a year since new................. They made a goof ordering around 03 and I started getting the one with the 3rd visor, now I always tell them 3rd visor.

3rd visor works great in conjunction with a sun screen....... Sometimes after dinner I take a nap in my truck... Pop the sun screen in crank the truck and let the AC run in the summer... 45 minutes later, I get out and go back in for the afternoon.....
