hey guys, finally saved up enough bones to order my 2'' level and 3'' body lift from zone off-road today. hopefully it will get here during the week and then i can do the install next week. i know this thread is worthless without pictures but im really excited.

im going to be keeping my stock wheels, am i going to have any problems running a 305/65/17? like is the tire too wide for the stock wheels BS? will it rub anything?

also, am i going to need longer struts/shocks? i read a few posts were guys said about getting an inch or two longer shocks when doing the level kit

thanks

Chad

295/70/17 is the widest tire I seen looking through countless tire sites that fits on the 17x7.5 stock wheel.

You will not need longer shocks or struts with just the level kit as long as it does not have rear blocks. If you add a 1" rear block then I would suggest a 1" longer shock in the rear. The front is fine as you are just adding a strut spacer.

Good luck! I too just got done with the BL and that front grill/bumper will really test your patience. Take it slow and you will be fine

Update: I got my tires and wheels mounted. Also put my 2" leveling kit on. Here are the pics. Tire size is 305/55/20. As expected they do rub, but this is just a poser pic, I still need to put my body lift on.

Finally got my body lift and leveling kit done. Here are some pics. Need some advice on the flares, should I keep them, ditch them, or paint them white? Or should I color match the front end? Give me some ideas please

I say no flares and color match the front. Go with the new color matched all terrain grille.

I say no flares and don't color match the front. I don't care for the look of the "Z71 appearance package", especially on white.

I say keep the flares, ditch the nerf bars (even though I see that they are a new addition), and black out all the chrome.

No flares, no steps, no rain guards, debadge, lose black rockers (if possible), black billet, and color match:

Kinda like this:

Black rockers and rain guards have to stay. And I have to have some sorta of step bar to hide the frame because of the body lift.

What if I paint the flares white and the lined the bottom of them to sorta match how the truck looked without them? Know what I mean?

Painted flares would look good

If you're going to keep the flares, paint em all white. And steps are fine, just not those IMO. Get some black NFab style bars. Those would better match your theme.

    • Yes it can be a challenge for obvious reasons. Remember when people were blocked on websites during the last administration if you didn’t agree. Being retired I can scan all the sites and podcasts. I start in the morning with Glen beck during my walk. Then I watch Orielly that I recorded the night before. I scan the headlines on Newsmax, and News Nation. News Nation has Como so it’s diverse. Weekly him and Orielly have debates sometimes Steven A is along for the ride. My nightcap is Jesse Watters for comic relief. Then it’s the Astros, that’s been disappointing. Sometimes Greg Kelly if the Astros are getting blown out.
    • I believe the only thing that can be monitored is negative electrical current returning through the frame instead of the ground wire. It's just a guess, but that's how your home gfi breakers work and my theory is that is what's going on. I will be watching for what you figure out.
    • Glad it worked for you. I tried that 1st, about 2 years ago. Didn't help. I also tried doing a hard reset (disconnecting battery for minimum of 30 minutes). Worked a couple times, but after one summer of doing it over and over, that no longer worked.  I was fairly confident it was either the compressor or a failed actuator, but I just couldn't identify which one. Had to research which actuators do what and which last numbers are associated with each.
    • Took me FIFTEEN MINUTES to find this. Isn't that a problem? On the mainstream media I can INSTANTLY find 100 articles bashing President Trump ... but when it comes to TRUTH in American corporate news & search engines, it's carefully filtered to support ONE SIDE. A Republic cannot survive like this! Incredible! Even all the AI searchers out there failed as well! ChatGPT said it needed more details on the video that I provided a DIRECT LINK to! I thought AI was the be-all, end-all?? I had to dig it up myself. This should be FRONT PAGE NEWS!!! 🤬   Here's the statement directly from our President:     Glenn Beck's reporting on the operation:   https://glennbeck.com/watch/videos/trump-just-revealed-a-massive-military-secret-that-lowered-gas-prices   In case that link doesn't work, here's the YouTube link:     And another 15 minutes to find this clip out of Glenn Beck's video - the first few seconds is all the corporate media will allow the public to see, since the low IQ people will think Trump said " I love inflation ", and that was the end of it. Taken WAY out of context! Here's that part, plus the 2nd part about the oil smuggling operation:
    • More is cylinder deactivation. Kia-Hyundai Ive had 4. The warranty is the same 10 years 100K miles. My grandson drives the first one 05 Elantra GT. My wife drives the second one 2011 Genesis. The Genesis still performs as new and looks great. The Elantra looks rough. He’s not kind to it. The third was a Genesis coup. The fourth was a Santa Fe. Those were my daily drivers. I don’t keep them long. Kia is the same as Hyundai with the same warranty. I looked at the K-4 today. Too small, otherwise pretty good buy. Most of Hyundai and Kia’s have a performance upgrade.
