Tccm Replacement

i replaced the tccm

now all i get is a clicking sound like battery is dead

any suggestions

boost the truck,get a battery,or charge up yours,,why did you replace the TCCM?

Battery voltage should be 12.75v+ with VOM not ip guage with ign off. If not your battery is low or bad.

Clean the pos & neg cables at the battery and engine & chassis.

Do you have the push button 4x4 system? I had the same problem on my 01 Silverado.The first time it happen I replaced the push button switch. Corrected the problem for a few Months, then it started doing it again. I then took it to the GM Dealer and they said I need a new 4x4 brain box, $600.00+ dollars at the dealer. I purchased one on line for $350.00. Took it to the dealer to install. Dealer said it was also bad. I called the Co. where I purchased it and they sent me another one FREE of charge. Told me to discard the first one they sent because it's all electronic and nonrepairable. The Dealer installed the second 4x4 brain box, also said it was defected. I called the Co. again and told them what the dealer said and the Co. said that "No way could both brain boxes be defected" Possible, but very unlikely. Took my info back to the GM dealer and spoke with a different Tech. This Tech. said he knows of only one other problem that could cause this. It is where the wireing runs between the cab and frame. So what he did was cut the wire at the switch, tied in to it and ran the wire to the transfer case and cut the wire there and tied it in there. The tech. did this was so he would only have to charge for 1/2 hour labor. He stated that if he tried to trace where the wire was defected it could take up to 3 hours or longer and all he would do once he found the bad wire was cut it out and splice it back. never had anymore problems with my 4x4. I now have two 4x4 Brain Boxes. My orignal one and the one I purchased. It still cost me a little over $800.00. Right at $500.00 dealer cost (Labor) and the $350.00 for the 4x4 Brain Box.
