I don't have an official weight for you but I've had them off and my best guess would be around 40 pounds.

Wow really thats it. I thought it would be heavier than that, but Ive never had one off of the truck either. If thats the case the GMT900 bumper must be 20lbs lol!

That's no joke! The bumper on my Sierra could sustain damage in a wind gust.

Thanks. I don't have to know an exact weight I was just curious and really didn't have a good guess myself. I want to get a Ranch Hand rear bumper and was just curious how much more it weighs than the stock bumper. I didn't know if it would make the truck sag at all. The Ranch Hand rear bumper weighs 143 lbs. So if the stock bumper does weigh around 40 lbs the Ranch Hand is only around 100 lbs heavier.

The last time I was able to get a complete bumper kit for the GMT800's I think it weighed something like 75lbs.,This was a complete bumper pkg. with the bar, step pads, brackets, and lights.

I've done this swap on my truck. No noticeable sag.

Just be sure you get a 1500 rear bumper. I bought a 2500/3500 off a guy on craigslist and had to heavily modify the mounts for it to fit.
