New Tires And Trimming

I put new tires on the truck last week and figured I would show some pictures. They are LT275/65/18 Yokohama Geolandar A/T-S. So far, I am very happy with their performance.

 

I also trimmed the front air dam. I took it off and it didnt look right without something there, so I basically cut it in half.

 

Please excuse the dirty truck, I need to wash it, but it keeps raining.

What did you cut the lower air dam with?

looks good, i think my first mod was to remove that

I used a utility knife to cut the plastic, and then I used sand paper to smooth out the edge. I probably should have used the dremel tool to cut instead though.

Heating the blade on a utility knife with a propane torch is a good way to slice through an air dam.

I like those tires. How is the ride? Have you noticed any loss in MPG?

The tires ride great. I got the C rated tires, and the difference in ride barely noticable. I have not noticed a decrease in MPG.
