Window Glass Scratch

Hey guys hope everyone's doing alright. I need some advice and would like to know if any of you has this small problem. My rear passenger side door glass developed a small scratch Vertically. I'm guessing something inside the door scratched it. My 04 Impala had this but it started small and then much worse and they had to get the district manager (warranty) to authorize to replace all 4 windows because they were so far gone. I showed my service advisor and he said that debris might have fallen in and caused the scratch. I just don't want a repeat of my Impala scenario to happen again. Anyone of you experienced this with your NBS? Hopefully its just an isolated problem with that specific window and my truck.

I know where your comming from....But here is how I handle this problem. There is a black trim peice between the window and door that can be removed and cleaned off and replaced. I do mine everytime I wash my truck.

Thanks Erich. I should have asked this earlier. I didn't know that that black trim came off. Is there a special way to remove it or just pull at it.

Its a real snug fit start at the end and move the peice up and should start to give way. I would post pics but its to dark out....

If you want to buff out scratches in the glass, you can do so with cerium oxide paste and a good power buffer.
