Anyone with helpful insight?? I think mine is going out as well

i got this one changed, its a royal pain in the ass.. you have to get a power steering pulley puller. other then that just follow instructions that come with pump. dont try any other pullers though, you will bend the shity little pulley

good luck

The hardest part is removing the Pulley from the Pump! You need a Puller to do it. A lot of the time the new Pump includes a cheap kit to install the Pulley onto the pump, but a lot of good that does you in removing it. Generally, I remove the Belt, and then install my Puller and pull off the Pulley. Then it's generally easier to get to all the pulley bolts doing it this way. Most of the time it's not all that hard. Again, it just requires the right tools and a little know how. I have the tool to do this myself. I remember years and years ago back when I was a kid on my old 77 Chevy C10 with a 250. I tried taking the pulley off with a pry bar and it didn't budge, all it did was bend the pulley!!! I had to get a new Pulley. Of course that cheap Installation pulley kit that came with my pump turned out to be useful at that point!!! So that's a bad Idea. I've change a great deal since then. Some really simple, others a complete pain in the butt.
