4x4 Dash Switch - Light Color

Question for the public, I was driving down the freeway the other night. It was in the middle of no where, so my dash lights were lite up nicely. As I admired them, I notice my 4x4 switch is not the greenish color as everything else - it's white. Now that i noticed it bothers me.

 

Is it suppose to be greenish and not white? How about everyone else's? Thanks!

my 06 has the push button setup for the different drive modes and all i get is a little yellow dotbut no actual lighting in the buttons.

 

as for yours, pull it out and see what the light looks like, alot of the times you can can get an led with a greenish rubber cover for it and put it in, or you can get paint from a hobby shop thats clear and throw it on there. i remember i used red paint like that from a hobby shop in a car i owned to make some parts a different color. the only thing now that i think of it is i painted the inside of the clear plastic and not the bulb itself, so that might be something to think about.

What color is the light on your headlight selector knob? My 4x4 selector knob light is greenish as well as the headlight selector knob just like the other dash lights.

Hm., mine is also a 'whitish' color compared to my headlight knob light. And I mean the selector light that lights up indicating what gear/ mode you're in ( not the back light)

Double checked mine last night and tried to get a pic but couldn't get a good shot. On my 2010, the 4x4 selector has 2 lights. A round lime green one that is always on and indicates what drive your in. There is also a small square light on the chrome trim that goes around the knob that comes on when the headlights are on just like the headlight selector knob. Both of those are a green just like the dash lights.
