I recently bought a 2003 sierra ext cab 1500.  i was looking at the djm 2/4 kit,, i kinda wish i could get their kit in a 3/4 kit. Does anyone know if i could get there kit in a 3/4 drop???  Also,, What is so crappy about djm's shocks???  Are there alot better shocks out there?  How much  time  does it take to perform a drop on these gm trucks??  i cannot believe the labor charges that shops are charging around here($550.00)  I will do it my self for that cost.

Contact Belltech. They offer a kit in 3/4. The kit includes 2 inch drop spindles and 1 inch coils up front, while the back has the 4 inch shackles and hangers. But if you want to go DJM, why not just buy the 2/4 kit and add 1 inch coils? I would go with the cheaper of the 2, which is probably the latter.  :chevy:

I got a question ...what are the best shocks for a lowered truck...I have Bell-Tech shocks on my Suburban and every 2 months I have to get new front shocks because they blow out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I have a DJM 4/6 on my 01 standard cab and the Toxic shocks lasted about 1 year maybe. I switched to DJM shocks only to find out the are the same shock body valved a little different. I'm sick of this front shock crap my DJM's are going south as we speak. What is the best?

Did a 2/4 kit on an '02 silverado, with the drop coils and shackles and hangers. It took us the whole day, but then again we didnt have an air chisle. Had to drill out the rivets, which was a real pain. If you have an air chisle, it shouldn't take more than half a day... it'll make the job a lot easier. Also, more than likely, you'll have to drop your exhaust and get it redone if its not stock and its run out the back. The front is also a pain, but a 10 lb baby sledge will take care of that. Same way the chevy center pops their joints loose.

Good luck on it man.

So what's the deal with the '98ck shocks? Are they shorter then the '99-newer truck shocks? IF they are, I guess they would be the best way to go. I am planning on installing a 2" shackle and a Helwig swaybar. THX

 Still waiting on my lowering kit to come in. Ordered a suspension kit with new leafs from summit 'cuz they had the best price... this was back around the first week of May, now I get a note in the mail saying that it wont be shipped out until sometime in the middle of June. :flag:

Oh well... hopefully it will get here sometime this summer
