Cooper tires

I know several people here have these tires on their trucks. I was reading an ad today in a magazine that gave a description of the tires in question. They are marketed under several names, but all have the same markings. I don't have the actual magazine with me now, so I'm going off memory. Maybe someone here can post more details about this.

Just a little something that I thought should have some attention drawn to it. I don't know if this is the right place for this, if it is better off in Aftermarket, move it there please.

I have Cooper "LifeLiner" tires on my Aurora (came with the car) and I can certifiably say...THEY SUCK!!!! If the pavement is wet, with traction control on, I get beat at stoplights my Geo Metro's because the tires break loose so easily at which point the traction control is fighting it, cutting back power. It wouldn't be so bad if the tires didn't break loose just tapping the gas. I was just better off in rain leaving traction control off and burning the hell out of them.

When I got a few extra bucks last month, I replaced at least the front two with Michelin Energy XV4's and siped them at the same time. What a night and day difference.

Hey, don't knock the geo, my buddy has a prizm w/ a manual tranny and he'll go out and smoke all of these ricer cars and a lot of other ones. He could even take my truck in a race at lower speeds. After about 60 I can catch up, but in a street race it just makes me look bad.

A 250hp Autobahn cruiser shouldn't be embarrased by a Geo, it just isn't right.

Oh just wait, when it gets a little warmer out we're going to "rice" up the geo as a gag thing. I'll post pics when we do it. I still haven't been able to find a big enough coffee can. How do you think an aluminum garbage can would work?

I would if we were to only add one, but c'mon two of them must mean at least 2x the power. And I've got an old shelf, that would make a great spoiler, 4 tiers of down force power.

Hey, spoilers, despite there uglyness and the fact that they are as worthless on a front wheel drive car and cost a lot of money, and the do it yourself cardboard and duct tape just lacks that flash that you can w/ a white plastic shelving unit and dual garbage can exhaust. Now the only problem will be convincing my buddy to allow us to do this w/ his car.

Don't know if this is the recall you seen, but it is the only recent one I could find. Doesn't affect any truck tires, and not all that many tires total. I still think my Coopers are better tires then those dang BFG's....

Just out of curiosity, about how much did you have to pay to get those two tires siped? I have had several people tell me to get my mud tires siped and it will help out incredibly in the snow. I've never had it done, so I don't have any idea of cost or where to go.
