Automatic Lights Sensor?

Recommended Posts

Hey all, recently started having a problem with my auto lights. When parked in garage my lights come on and dash lighting is on and radio is dimmed as one would expect. But after pulling out into sunlight they are no longer turning off unless I turn the truck off and restart while in the light. Light sensor/dome on the dash is clean and this has just recently started on my '07 NBS. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Was thinking maybe I should disconnect battery to start with and see if this will do a reset of the system.

thanks,

Scott

I've had this happen a few times and it is a bit annoying. I just turn the lights to the on position then turn them back to auto. This has worked every time.

They should go to DRL in about one minute. If not there is a problem.

From the OM: If the vehicle is started in a dark garage, the automatic

headlamp system will come on immediately. Once

the vehicle leaves the garage, it takes approximately

one minute for the automatic headlamp system to

change to DRL if it is bright enough outside.

mine will turn off but it takes sometimes up to 10 minutes of direct sunlight on it before it will turn off...... i just hit the switch or just let it do its thing. But it is kind of annoying. My dads new king ranch sensor is sensitive it will cut the lights on just driving under a bridge then back off as soon as you're out :D
