Hello, I'm trying to find the rear axle bearing, and when trying to buy all differentials and seals of the rear differential axle, theres a lot of differentials on 2008 Silverados. In GMpartsDirect.com, there are:

8.50, 8.625 ; 9.50 ; 9.75 ; 10.50, 11.50.

I need pinion bearing, pinion seal, etc...

I only knwo that i have a 3.73 rear axle, and no G80 installed.

Mine is a Silverado 1500 year 2008, 4wd, 5.3L engine.

If you have help for me, THANK YOU!

Have you checked your glove box codes for G80. I understand that all 07s up have G80s? Also you can give your dealers parts dept. your vin and they will tell you what you need.

No, not all 07 and up have the G80.

for the OP, you have the 8.625 ring gear in your truck.

Correct,G80 is not standard,It is either included in a package, like Z71 or Z82 trailering,or it is avaiable as a 'free-flow" stand alone option. G80 also has nothing to do with the ring gear size.

Also...correct in that you have the 8.625" ring gear

Ok, thanks for correcting me on the G80. Good to know. Rich, what does the 'free flow, term mean? Option at no cost??

Yep,All 1/2-tons with the 4.8 or 5.3 have the 8.625" rear-end. 1/2-tons with the 6.0 or 6.2 have the 9.5"

"Free-Flow" means its available as a stand alone option (IE-You don't have to get a package or option group to get it)

Ok, the KOYO bearing installed in the pinion is number: STD4183 made by koyo brand. And searching the gmpartsdirect.com with the 8.625" rear end it gives me part no. 15286276.

I would like to check if it is the same part number. I cannof find it on koyo usa website. If someone here knows about bearings, writ here.. and thank you.
