I have the 20" factory rims/tires on my 08 CC, what kinda mileage should I expect from them? I rotate every 5000k. they currently have almost 20,000 on them and still have plenty of life.

Thanks,

Sean

What tires do you have? I have the Bridgestone H/L Alenzas. I've got almost 70K on the truck but I run winter wheels/tires so I would guess I have 35-40K on my oem's. They still have plenty of tread left however performance is now lacking. I get significantly less traction now in all conditions. Can squeal tires and activate abs easily if I try. It is to the point I will be replacing them in the spring after I pull my winter wheels. I am running Goodyear Fortura Triple Treads in the winter (20's also) and they are very good in snow, even deep snow, and way better than my oems at 40K on dry pavement. I've only got maybe 25-30K of winter driving on them but they basically look new.

50 - 60K on the 275/55 R20 tires should be the norm for the SUV/Truck tire rating from most companies.. (Hankook, Bridge/Firestone, BFG, Good-year) most of them have 50K warranties..

I got 25,000 miles out of a set of Kumho STX's. Nice tire, but didn't last. I have Cooper Zeon LTZ's and they will make 50,000 for sure. The tread wear number has alot to do with how long they last. I don't think the fact that they are 20's or different, they wear the same.

I have the Goodyear LS 2 tires

My 07 Silverado came with the GY LS2. I replaced them around 45K miles. I could probably have gotten another 5-10K out of them. I replaced them with Pirelli Scorpions and so far they have been outperforming the LS2.

I have the LS2. I got about 60k out of mine before I got my new ones. They probably could have gone another 5 or 10 k, but they started to suck in the rain. If I still lived in NM, I would have let them go that long. I got another set of LS2's just because I got all 4 for $600 balanced, lifetime rotation and road hazard. Not a bad deal.

My truck had the 20's with Goodyear Eagle LS2's. They were just about shot with 22,000 miles....but the previous owner didn't rotate them...and liked getting his money's worth out of the 6.0 engine. :P
