Radio Illumination

In my 2000 the factory radio/CD unit does not have any night time illumination for the buttons/controls. Has anyone had success repairing this? If so, what do I need to do? Any tips would help. Thank-you

AFAIK, that is a common problem with 800 series trucks

 

I doubt the repair would be easy, since you would have to remove the unit, crack it open, and attempt to replace any burned out led's

 

 

Think of it as an excuse to upgrade to an after market head unit
