Led Headlight Bulbs

I have a Stanley flashlight with one big led and it is stupid bright. I wish someone here would try them. Looks cool.

From what I've seen they will be almost worthless, especially for any distance. They just aren't quite perfected for headlight use yet.

According to the listing, they put out 220-250 lumens of light. 9005 Halogen is around 1200 (5x brighter).

Not sure what those are useful for. I bought something similar in bi-pin form for some undercounter lights replacements.

The only way you could get LED headlights is a whole array that points the LED's in the direction you want the light to travel. And it would take quite a few.

High power ones are a different story. When I turn off my light the bulb still glows for 30-45 secs. The technology is getting there. Not saying the eBay ones are any good but check out one of the Stanley's. I use it to shine deer.

ive seen leds in fog lights and theyre ok for being seen from down the road but dont illuminate anything. on the other hand cop lights are visible from a mile away. now i have a flashlight with a single led and a magnified lens and it actually projects the light quite far. whos gonna be the first to try these?
