I have a 2010 GMC Sierra 1500, im thinking of trading in for a Ram 2500, is there anyone on this site that has gone from the Ram 2500 to a 1/2 ton GM? Just trying to get some real world info, before I make my choice. Thanks

well what does the ram have that you want? i know alot of folks with 2500 rams so i can give you a little insight

2500/3500 rams are very stout, all the ones i know are cummins and are pretty damn nice...ive heard the auto trans in them dosen't hold up well but the sticks arent too bad..i've also heard that the hemi is quite underpowered in those platforms, i like them and think they are pretty bad ass though

Thanks for the replies, but after doing some research it seems that the HEMI which is what i would get, makes most, if not all of it's 383 HP in the upper RPM range. Not really that impressive. I think im going to stay with the 5.3L and get a tune from Black Bear in the spring time, and the maybe a lift. Thanks again for the help guys.

I manage an automotive repair shop and we tend to see more repairs on the dodge before the chevy starts wearing out. Trannys, front end parts wheel bearings ect. And the ford seem to have a ton of engine problems. Spark plugs blowing out, seizing into the head, timing chain skipping. The chevy just seem to hold up better. I'm not a hard core GM guy but thats why I bought a GMC...

Just my 2 cents.
