Adding Rear Slider Window

Is the wiring there at the very least? I'm just wondering if its remotely possible. i.e. If the wiring isnt there and it has to go thru the PCM I guess I'm SOL.

I thought about this as well, I think GM Part Direct sells the kit for $1000+ (could be wrong). Not sure about the wiring though. I couldn't find out for sure if you have no choice but to forgo the rear defroster, and that is (IMO) much more important to me than a sliding window. I can toss my coke cans over the roof just fine :-D

agreed, ec lawrence makes one called the power slide. only downside is you have a switch to mount, but im sure if you got custom wtih the wiring you could use the stock switch

Is there power sliding models WITH defrost?

I've not seen one. :P I've had trucks with/without and really don't see a need for it on that rear window due to the fact that it's flat/straight up/down.

"Coke Cans" Right..... And sorry mr pennsylvania, Ill take my rear defrost, 10-35 below and you stop your truck while its warm and there is any snow blowing = ice crusted rear window flat or not.

I've had trucks since the winter of '81/'82 & a rear window defogger has never been on my wish list. If it had come w/ the truck I would've taken it, but not interested in adding it as an option.

This will be the 1st truck w/o a rear slider though. Nice for ventilation, whenyou don't want the AC on or roll down the windows.
