Hi, My name is Marcelo Vasquez, I own a 2008 GMC Sierra 4WD SLE 5.3 and am new to the forum.

I tow a small (18 ft) toy hauler with either a 2001 BMR R1100RT or a 2005 Ducati ST3 in it.

I live in Santa Fe, New Mexico and love it!

Thanks for the welcome. guys.

By the way, yesterday evening I had an encounter with new age engineering: A cop stopped me and told me that one of my headlamps was out, passenger side.

I thanked him and stopped at Pep Boys on my way home to buy an H11 bulb, as prescribed by the manual (yes, I read it)

The destructions were to remove the air filter top to reach the socket.

HA!!!

After cutting my hand several times, I decided that if I didn't remove the whole airbox I wasn't going to reach the elusive socket. Took me about 20 minutes of trial and error to figure out how to do this.

This is an operation which is supposed to be able to be completed roadside, in the middle of the night!

Torx head screwdrivers???

Removal of airbox???

Are we outsourcing American engineering to Delhi?

:D

Yeah, changing out the headlight in the GMT-900's is ridiculous compared to the GMT-800's.
