No More Billet Bowties?

So I called a local lift/accessory shop that I know used to carry billet bowties and asked if they had any. The gal I talked with said they can't carry them anymore due to GM putting a halt to all of these people who are manufacturing them (copyright infringement). Anyway, I know the guy who owns the place and had a chance to talk with him and he told me the same thing. Anyone heard of this?

Not for GM, but I did see that for NFL accessories. I wanted an Okland Raiders hitch cover that wasn't made out of plastic. Every place stopped selling the metal ones because of copyright infringement. Needless to say, I don't have a hitch cover. Those plastic ones are not for me.

really? pretty sure the one i bought had the "gm licensed" sticker on it. check ebay- all that supply has to go somewhere.

Yeah, the guy said he could still find me one, just that he wouldn't be getting anymore of them from his supplier.
