I need some understand or some direction to purchase wheels that I like. I have some after-market 20's and the are under the fenders. I like the wheel and tire to come out from under the truck.

I use to have a 1998 with 15 X 10 with 32 11.50 and it was prefect for me (the look was prefect for me)

I have looked and looked trying to find a 20's that comes out about 2 to 3 inches

I would even put 18's on it but I want the wheel spaced out from the truck.

I don't have a lift and i am not going to put one on it.

any ideals

Think twice about doing an offset to the outside like you talked about. The wheel bearings in these Chevys will not live long at all with an offset like that. Do a search and find yourself amazed at all the wheel bearings getting replaced.

Another thing which won't live long are the already weak tie rods and various other links. I'm thinking maybe 50-60K tops with larger (heavier) tire wheel combo. All I did on my 04 Suburban was to crank the front an inch or two and by 60K, the idler link and tie rods were gone. By 120K, they were worn out again!

Tell you what looks really good, and that is the GMT900 series 20" factory chevy spoke wheels found on the SUV's and 1500 trucks. I like those a bunch, they look great, have the correct offset and will work with your factory stuff.

I'm using the factory Caddy 22's which I like, but am changing to a lighter more road racier looking wheel by summer. Maybe try to find a member who is upgrading and grab his take-off wheels...
