I am sort of new at this so bear with me I have a 2005 silverado that had 17 inch wheels and tires It now has 18's and they are 10 and a half inches wide.The slip and slide all over the place I tried to get 16's on it but they wont fit my question is how do i get to put 16's on this silverado without to much change thanks guys wayner

You can't fit 16's on the front due to the larger front caliper/rotor size GM went to for the '05 model-year (this is why all '05-up 1/2-tons have at least 17's)

I have heard of some guys grinding away just enough material to fit 16's,I wouldn't do that myself though

That or some 1.25" spacers.
