Snow Drifts Anyone?

So who else is getting hammered with snow lately? Here are a few pics of what we got in the past 2 days. A nice 'treat' if I had a skidoo.

 

Here is looking out my man door of my garage to my neighbours place.

 

And what is blocking my road. The plows haven't bothered, they know its no use. The farmers down the road have attempted it twice with the blowers....not making their way through yet.

Wow thats some snow drifts. We hit a record low of 27F this morning, beating the previous 29F. No snow though.

Record low of 27F? Lol you must be from Georgia or somewhere south. The highest temp. we've seen for about a week came yesterday at 17F.

Impressive drifts. The drifts we were breaking through on the mountain last week came about half way up the side windows. The snow was between knee and mid-thigh in the woods.

This is after it had been run on and settled a coupled days.

Untill this past summer I didn't realize how much snowfall effects you all up there. My family goes to Lake Kippiwa in Quebec every summer and it was about a foot low. The locals said it was because there was no snow last winter. I havn't seen the level of that lake changed in 20 years. As far as the snow goes, it's all yours, just cover the shipping.

ya last year was sad for snow up here, but its weird. because this summer i think we had like 50 inchs of rain. all the crops were drowned, highways are flooded, ( funniest thing to watch is a motorcycle driving through a foot of water. ) lakes actually joined other lakes. with all the rain you would think there would be a great deal of snow. we only have about 1/2 foot of snow.

We basically have enough snow here to more or less cover the ground with average highs in the mid 20s this week. Sometimes a bit more or a bit less but I'd say that's about the average right now.

Well here in GA we DID get about a .25 inch of snow and ice (in north GA that is). What now??

 

JUST to tell you how stupid people get when it snows/ices.... Last Wednesday our county reported 70+ motor vehicle accidents in one 12 hour shift (Sheriff's Office) and surrounding counties reported anywhere from 150-300 accidents in one 12 hour shift. ALSO there was a 76+ car pile up on I-285. Nonetheless, I hate stupid people who can't drive. Nobody thinks we have ice down here and drive 70 mph even though they see wrecks and listen reports of ice all over the roads. For about a week prior to that night it had been @ 30 as the high and @ 10-12 as lows during the night. It was a clusterfeck of epic proportions.

this snow has totally drifted my head off..... flight got cancelled 28 hours on airport whole of the airport drizzled with snow... bloody global warning stuff... anyways dude you were at home that time.... lucky you!!!

we got 2 feet now and its -30 today with fog and a windchill of -40. See i if i can get a pic of my yard this week. if i ever get home in the daylight
