Train Horn: Install

Recommended Posts

Figured id get some pictures up, Im putting a new valve on tomorrow (hopefully) that is meant for 12v :) Tried to make it as clean as possible, obviously wires are still visible. Horn covers are inbound.

The switch, in the up position both vehicle and train horn go, off position just the vehicle horn sounds.

LOL, Trust me , i know all about asking questions about train horn installs!

When i first started out , I was clueless about anything to do with 12v compressors / all the ptc fittings / airlines / etc etc... Remember, these things arent made for vehicles, so it takes a lot of time / patience and $ to adapt :)

Awesome looking install so far! I am running 5/8" OD line to my K3LA to feed its hunger! That looks like a 5 gal tank you have there... You will be upgrading soon, :D have 10 gal of air currently and its still not enough!

Edit - For the record, I rarely use my horns for scarring people on purpose.. They are there for when someone pulls out in front of me almost causing me a heart atttack, so i just return the favor  And they are there for the jackass wanna be bad ass kids walking around causing trouble... I put them back on the side walk real quick!

Pretty clean install, I would've put the train horn on a separate switch, but NICE. :)

I sort of enjoy being able to press the center of the steering wheel and have a train horn go off haha.
