Adding Temp/compass To '00 Z71

I am looking to replace my original rear view mirror with one that has a compass and temperature. Do I already have the wiring for it under the headliner? Or will I have to wire it myself? Any write ups on this?

You will have to wire it yourself and add the temp sensor required for the temp readout on the mirror.

they have oem style mirror kits that would be way easier than trying to piece a pulled mirror

Mine was already wired for the mirror, just plugged her up and put a temp sensor on the connector already under the hood behind the grille. And presto.
