Minivans

I hate them. Replacing the power door cables and motor is a joke. And rear diff lube from gm is expensive! 26$ a bottle?!? At least its grape scented :D Too bad it wont fix the whining in the rear. But it will keep my locker going, which is important. Im thinkin about going slighly cheap on the front diff. Still needs a blower motor and a/c belt that squeals. Maybe a new foglight and running lights.

needless to say when it comes to Minivans, Crapota and Honda have Chrysler beat. Ford and GM already gave up on building a good minivan. They couldn't do it. Even VW and Kia have a Minivan out now though they are both butt ugly just like the Crapota and Honda.

The VW is a re-skinned Caravan. What I thought was funny though is that VW sends the dash as an assembled unit to Chrysler. I wouldn't trust them to build a good interior either. :lol;

I liked our old Safari. For a minivan, it wasn't half bad. We just outgrew it, and needed something that was more reliable (Newer) in the brutal Montana winters. And now I like our Express 3500 even better, although there's nothing "mini" about it.

I wish GM would start making a mini van again, my wife wants a van and I don't like the choices (Dodge, Crapota, etc).

The Safari and Astro were in a class of their own, not really a minivan, not really a full size van, but they were good vehicles. It's just hard to update a box on wheels which is what the Astro was more or less. Why do you think Ford and GM will sometimes go 10-20 years before doing a major refresh on their full size vans?

Personally if i ever lowered my myself to the standard of owning a minivan i would get a sienna from toyota, those i can somewhat stand since i'd be rolling in a swagger wagon.

I think the new 2011 Toyota Sienna's look the best in the minivan category. However I have no idea what the inside looks like.

I wasnt expecting anyone to respond to this to be honest..But anyway. Toyota and Honda minivans are basically conversion vans nowadays, but they still suck. Chrysler minivans suck more, with the air bags that deploy because of bad insulation next to a drain tube for the evap case. Retards put air bag wiring next to a drain. Good going. :) Id go with a traverse if i really had to. Tows 6,000 lbs and is pretty quick.

Minivans are efficient people movers. Overall they're going to be safer than most SUVs for an inexperienced driver since their center of gravity is lower, kids won't need to be lifted into the seats and they'll be better on gas and cheaper to insure. They just aren't much fun to drive. :lol: But I call them stealth fighters because you can get away with anything in a minivan- when was the last time you saw one pulled over? :D

I like the Dodge mini vans. But the old lady wont drive one and im sure as hell not giving up my truck for one!
