Predator Dod Disable Instructions

Can anyone give me step by step instructions to disable gm's active fuel management. I have a Predator U7194 and the trucks already got the 87 octane tune.

Thanks

I can't give Step by Step because I sold mine and I don't remember exactly but I can tell you that you need to hook it up to the truck

go to where you installed the 87 tune

click on the 87 then click on the MODIFY tune

from there you will have several selections to scroll through

find the one that says DOD ( I think its DOD can't remember 100%)

then when you get to the DOD you hit disable or turn off (again can't remember exactly)

then back out and hit install modified tune or something similar to that

I know you asked for step by step but that is the best I can remember at this moment

If that doesn't help and no one else chimes in you might try looking on the Diablo Predator Website forums. It may take some searching and browsing but I'm sure its there someone.

Good Luck

If you somehow screwed it up. You can always put the stock tune back in the truck and then start over with the 87 octane tune. Just go to modify the tune and find the DOD and turn it off then let it install the tune again. And you should be good to go.

I found this on the Predator site for a little bit better instructions

d hook the predator up to your car, select the same tune you installed before - either the diablo tune or the 87 octane tune, then this time, you select Modify Tune instead of install tune...

then scroll down to DOD, and select to turn it off/disable it.. press the center button to save your selection... then press the ESC button a few times to back out of the menus and it will ask you "Install Tune now?" - answer/select YES, and it will reinstall the tune with the change made to it...

also once you get that taken care of you might want to run a log and adjust the injector slope

here is a link to the instructions on how to do it and what to change

Hey does anybody know how to get rid of the throttle hesitation with the predator. Can i do it by changing the TM settings or changing the shift points? And by hesitation i mean the time between when i step on it and the RPM to rev up to 2000 before the truck accelerates. When the truck accelerates it goes like hell but i hate the lag.

can't do it with the predator user-adjustments yourself... but you can get a custom tune done for your truck by a diablosport CMR custom tuner (like myself) that will take care of that and also get a lot of other things tweaked to give you even quicker throttle response, acceleration, stronger/harder pull, better mileage (if you can keep your foot out of it! haha)... etc etc...

let me know if you're interested and I can getcha hooked up...

Does that mean there is now Torque Managment available for the predator if it's possible with a custom tune?

tranny TM no... there is TM on the engine side of the tune that is removed... and there is a table on the engine side of the tune that can be tweaked that does affect shifting and improves it quite a bit... but there it no direct tranny/tcm support yet...

I was mainly referring to his comments about the throttle lag....

I am too.

I am getting my diabloSport tuner this week and thats the main reason I want one is for the throttle response and to turn off the speed limiter.

yes, the tunes are done via email... you don't have to send your ecm's out or anything...

you can both shoot me an email at [email protected] and I'll send ya the details...
