'11 2500hd Ltz 20" Wheel Going To 18"?

Thank you in advance for taking the time to read my post.

I have a 2011 2500HD Crew Cab with the LTZ Package, & of course it comes with 20" wheels, but what I want to do is get some black 18" wheels. My queestion is, will the 18" wheel fit on my truck that came with the 20" wheels? The reason I ask is the front brake system looks a little big, and I dont want to order the 18"ers if they wont fit around the brakes. Any help would be wonderful!

My truck came with 18's, & I have a set of 20's for the summer. It isn't so much the rim size, but the overall diameter of the tire. A 265/65-18, is the same as a 305/40-22 ... which is the same as 275/55-20.

 

The 22" is within .1% ... and the 20" is within 1.1% of the stock 18" size on my truck. Do a Google for tire size calculator, to see how different sizes compare. The bigger the rim, the smaller the sidewall for a given size. There are pro's & con's to each size. If your after looks, then pick what you want. If you want comfort, you want MORE sidewall. If you want all-out cornering performance, you want a 'Vette ..... or a smaller sidewall.
