I ordered a Rancho 4" lift, and it's scheduled for delivery this coming Thursday. I want to run a true 33x12.50 on 18x9 wheels and was wondering what offset and backspacing would be ideal for this setup. Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Cole

5" will be good. anything less and you may rub

Thanks, another guy told me the same. Looking at an 18x9 XD Misfit 0 offset and 5 backspace, this should work fine without rubbing.

Should be good... post pics when complete

thanks, I will soon.

Anybody else out there running a different wheel setup, like a +18 offset without rubbing?

+18 will rub less than +0... so if you're willing to run a 9" +0, then there's nothing to worry about if you decide to go with a +18 :)

Matt, is there a possibility of the tire rubbing on the inside(sway bar, knuckles, etc) with +18 offset and 5.7 backspace?

Na, you'll be good with 5.7" backspace. Plenty of clearance on the inside for larger tires.

Thanks man, I sent you a PM before you replied. You can ignore that if you want.

Those look good. These wheels are still on option for you, so don't give up hope. The Rancho kit nets more like 5-5.5" of lift so with a 33x12.50 you're okay. Just know that trimming may be possible.

There is another member on here who has the same Rancho lift I'm having installed, and he is running 18x9 0 offset 5 backspace Monsters. I got in touch with him, and he said he barely rubs when turning the wheel full lock to the right, to the left is fine. He has 33x12.50's also, so it's a safe bet I'd be ok with the Misfit. It's definately my favorite wheel out right now, so I could trim a little to make it work. The only catch is I want Baja Atz's in 33x13.50. You think this would cause serious rubbing, or not enough off a difference to matter?

Thanks

Hey Cole, I got your PM.

Just a fare warning, the ATZ's tend to run big/wide for their size. A 325 on a 9" wheel with 5" backspace is probably going to require some trimming. The 4" Rancho really nets around 5" of lift.

I'll run a quick example by you:

A common combo for members here is 3" body lift + 2" leveling kit.. so 5" of clearance. The most common wheel/tires combo is 305/55/20 (33x12). And these tires juuust fit on 9" wide wheels with 5.7" backspace.

You're going to be running .7" less backspace, so you can expect some trimming from that off the bat.

You're also going to be running a bigger/wider tire... a bit more trimming will be required for that.

Finally, the Rancho lift slightly increases the track width up front... this acts like if you decreased the backspace of your wheel some more.

What does this all mean? Well, expect some trimming.

BUT, for what its worth.... id put on those 325/60/18s and do the trimming. It'll be a sweet looking combination. :(
