I ordered a new Silverado today. I ordered a new 1500 extended cab LTZ with 6.2, LTZ plus, Z71 and Nav in Blue Granite.

 

Now the waiting game begins. They are putting in their truck orders tomorrow and it should be here just in time for the Auto show bonus bucks.

Did you negotiate the price? Are you now obligated to buy the truck? How dose that work?

Price is negotiated today, and finalized when the truck comes in. Most dealers don't take a deposit as long as the truck isn't something weird. For me when I ordered, the dealership told me it its not everything I expected, I didn't have to take it.

Same with me. If it comes in and I don't want it I can walk away free and clear. We discussed price and all that, but it could all change by the end of Febuary.

 

The only thing with it is the Nav. The salesman said only about 1 in 1000 trucks have Nav. Or maybe it was 1 in 100.

I opted to order my truck without. I just felt $1200 could be spent better elsewhere. The one option I kinda regret doing was the extended range 2-way remote. If I did it over, I would have gotten the rear camera. Since my Onstar app for my phone can start my truck from anywhere, the extended range 2-way remote is kinda overkill.

Ya I am going to get an Iphone when they come out on Verizon. So I will get the app. With the LTZ plus and Nav it comes with BAck-up Cam. I have it on my 09 but I don't the tiny screen in the mirror. Too hard to see.

While I love my D-X there are some things that aren't the greatest about it. Besides that, it will

be outdated in a few months anyways. I wouldn't be suprised if Apple wasn't already working on

another iPhone update either now that VZW has them. This stuff moves faster than computers

anymore, I swear.

I have a droid ally and love it. Works perfect with the Blue tooth feature the truck has... and the I'll probably keep onstar for the app alone once onstar expires.

I have put my iphone up against many droids and won every category, graphics, camera quality, speed, apps. Ill grab my buddies droid x and pull up the same app and take a picture of it, it is very clear what phone looks better, but that is a another topic.

 

Congrats on the truck, I wish I would have ordered mine. I thought the 0% was ending, but they made it better and I rushed. Still love my truck.
