Which rim size is best for lifts?

This is my first post on this forum, so yes I am a rookie...be kind...you were all rookies once as well. Here is the question. I would like to know what ya'll prefer: 16X8 or 16X10 rims??? I have a 00 Z71 with 295/75/16 BFG ATs on the stock 16X6.5 rims now, with the torsion bars raised to the safest limit possible. In the future I would like to install a Rancho 4" lift. For now I want to keep the 295's until they wear out. But I am having an tough time of decision making on whether to buy Weld StoneCrushers in 8's or 10's.. I kind of am leaning to the 10's, because after the lift, I have the option to run larger tires. I have seen many trucks with 16x10s and 295's without any lifts, and they look awesome, but I would still like to get more clearence off road. Any advice or help is much appreciated.

I would go with the 10s. The wider stance will help off set the higher center of gravity caused by the lift. Then again maybe I've owned too many Pontiacs and can't get "wider is better" out of my head! Personally, I think wider rims look better.

I agree, once you get up there past 4" you'll want something a bit wider than stock. IMO, a 10" rim is a good width to go with.
