Lifting Back Seat?

Hey, can someone please help me on how to raise my back seat up on a 06 silverado? I'm trying to raise it 2 to 3 inches to fit two l7 12". I saw someone do it with a steel tube would that be the best and easiest way? Any help would be great, thanks.
